About Chef Shandi the Dietitian
Hello Friend!

I’m Shandi Trout, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), currently working toward my doctorate in clinical nutrition at Notre Dame of Maryland University. I graduated from ASU with a degree in dietetics and have over a decade of experience as a chef, which gives me a unique perspective in my nutrition practice. My focus now is on dietetics, with a special emphasis on gut health. My journey has led me through diverse experiences, including working in hospitals, long-term care, and with women, infants, and children. I’m deeply passionate about taking a natural, holistic approach to health and wellness, tailoring my recommendations to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Having been on my own health journey, I understand how frustrating it can be. I want to be your support, and I don’t believe one solution works for everyone. My approach is to tailor my recommendations to your needs and goals, helping match your lifestyle to what will help you feel your best. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to take control of your health in a sustainable way. Whether you're looking to improve gut health, manage a specific condition, or simply lead a healthier life, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan that feels right for you.

I was born and raised in Arizona and moved to Colorado in 2024. I am married to an amazing educator and have five beautiful daughters, each of whom came to us at different times in my life: one biological, one adopted, and three exchange daughters from around the world. I love to travel, explore new cities, and embrace the beauty of each season. I enjoy theater, music, and trying new things. Above all, I believe in listening to you, understanding how you are feeling, and using that information to uncover and address the root cause of your health concerns.
